    ISO 26870:2009 establishes requirements for the nomenclature, structure and contents of operational documents used at a launch pad or integration site. When there is international participation, partnership or cooperation in the design, development, installation, test, activation or operation of a launch pad or integration site, ISO 26870:2009 applies to the development of the operational documents required for the following circumstances: installation, testing, activation or operation within the territory of one country of a launch pad or integration site manufactured in another country; joint installation, testing, activation or operation when the equipment designed and manufactured in one country is part of the launch pad or integration site designed by another country; training of the launch pad or integration site personnel of one country by the experts from another country. The development and use of the operational documents described in ISO 26870:2009 are applicable to the following international launch pad or integration site operations: preparation of integration site equipment to receive space vehicles and spacecraft; preparation of launch pad equipment and the space complex for the launch of space vehicles; space vehicle launch; post-launch maintenance of the integration site and launch pad; periodic maintenance of the integration site and launch pad.

    ISO 22009:2009 describes the main magnetospheric large-scale current systems and the magnetic field in the earth''s magnetosphere and provides the main requirements for a model of the magnetospheric magnetic field. Ionospheric currents are not considered in ISO 22009:2009. ISO 22009:2009 includes a worked example of the model and establishes the parameters of magnetospheric large-scale current systems that change according to conditions in the space environment. ISO 22009:2009 can be used to develop new models of the magnetospheric magnetic field. Such models are useful in investigating the physical processes in the earth''s magnetosphere as well as in calculations associated with developing, testing and estimating the results of exploitation of spacecrafts and other equipment operating in the space environment. The main goals of standardizing the concepts of the earth''s magnetospheric magnetic field are to provide an unambiguous presentation of the magnetic field in the earth''s magnetosphere; compatibility for the results of the interpretation and analysis of space experiments; less labour-intensive calculations of the magnetic field of magnetospheric currents in space at geocentric distances of 1,0 to 6,6 earth radii, RE; and the most reliable calculations of all elements of the geomagnetic field in the space environment. The magnetic field model presented in ISO 22009:2009 can be used to predict the radiation conditions in space, including the periods of intense magnetic disturbances (magnetic storms), when developing systems of spacecraft magnetic orientation and when forecasting the influence of magnetic disturbances on transcontinental piping and power transmission lines.

    ISO 24637:2009 provides specific requirements for the content of equipment-level electromagnetic interference (EMI) test report documentation to ensure that sufficient data is provided for subsequent integration analysis of complex space systems. Emphasis is placed on necessary test report augmentation to include additional test data reporting when specifically needed to document any EMI test limit failures for spaceflight hardware. The requirements presented in ISO 24637:2009 apply only to EMI test reports at the equipment level. These requirements are particularly important when an EMI test limit non-conformance waiver is requested for spaceflight equipment in lieu of re-design.

    ISO 15862:2009 provides basic requirements for the measurement of the spacecraft flight environments generated by the launch vehicle, telemetry data processing and formats of analysis reports. ISO 15862:2009 defines the field and number of measurement parameters, the principles of data processing, the format of delivered data and the content and the form of the flight environment analysis report. Flight telemetry data are used to verify if flight environment conditions exceed pre-flight analyses and environmental test results. In the event of a launch failure, adequate flight environment data can assist in investigating and analysing failure causes. ISO 15862:2009 is applicable to commercial launch vehicles and related ground processing, no matter which launch vehicle agencies are selected.
